Subject beautiful animal study of a loyal pointer dog carrying the days shoot a duck in his mouth, set in the rather outstanding background Scottish lowlands moors landscape. To the right a hunter gentleman standing in traditional typical Edwardian hunting clothes carrying his weapon with a feather in his hat. To the left another duck has just took off flying away trying to escape, in the background 2 further ducks flying overhead, bottom left you can see a lake with water lilies on the surface, tall lush grass all around.

Signed in the bottom corner by the British artist N McCarthy.

Front painting surface in good overall order. Having some minor paint loss, foxing stains, also some paint touch ups in places and couple small patch repairs to the canvas & there is a horizontal indentation line which runs along around the top area, caused by the frame pressing on canvas shown in pictures. Frame with general wear, scuffs, small chips, commensurate with usage.
